For an individual pizza delivery guy in Aston, Delaware County, Sunday wasn’t his usual workday. Tyler Morell from Cocco’s Pizza assisted law enforcement in ending a high-speed chase while he was out making a delivery. Let’s see about it in detail.

Who is Tyler Morell?

Tyler Morell from Cocco’s Pizza assisted law enforcement in ending a high-speed chase while he was out making a pizza delivery. The best part is that Morell’s bravery was documented on film.

Watch video here:

Video shows the Delco pizza delivery driver tripping the suspect to end the fast-moving police pursuit.

Morell said, “A car just came up doing like 75, he beached on the side of this person’s lawn and almost took out a couple of cars.”

What Morell anticipated would be a routine pizza delivery instead landed him in the stiff of a police chase. Just after 3:30 p.m., Brookhaven police reported that they were pursuing a stolen Kia from Upper Darby.

The suspect got out of the stolen automobile after it crashed along Preston Street in Middletown Township and fled the area. At that point, Morell intervened. Morell stepped outside.

He said, “I started walking towards the road, but I couldn’t do anything with my hands because I’m holding the pizza, so I just stuck my leg out.”

Morell was able to extend his leg far enough to trip the culprit, who fell to the ground and was captured by police.

Police statement:

Morell’s fast thinking, according to the police, allowed them to make the arrest.

Brookhaven Chief of Police Michael Vice said,

“He gave us the help we needed, by tripping him it gave us the time to catch up with the gentleman.”

A second suspect in this event, who had been sitting in the stolen car as the deed took place, was also apprehended by police.

Morell said,

“I am so sick of seeing crime go on, especially half a mile down the road, So if they needed a hand or a foot, I was there.”

The identity of the suspects has not yet been revealed, however, the police have stated that the passenger is a 19-year-old Darby resident.

The suspect Morell tripped over is a young person. When all was through, the pizza was still delivered without incident.

The pizza’s customer, Danielle Yeager, gave the delivery a “10 out of 10.”

Morell is now being praised as a hero for putting out his best effort.

Vice said,

“In this case, this guy ultimately saved the day,”

“And I hear the pizza was saved as well!”

The two defendants, in this case, are being prosecuted on several counts, including resisting arrest, escaping and obstructing law enforcement, and several traffic violations.
