Submission Grappling 125 lbs:

Round 1:

Musumeci drops to the ground and attempts to lock one ankle. Almarwai is in difficulty, but he appears to be out of it. Musumeci is still turning the lock while holding onto it.

Almarwai was using his hands to move away from the immediate threat. He’s using the heel hook once more and working it hard, but Almarwai is safe, and Musumeci is winning this round.

Round 2:

Almarwai is standing up again as Musumeci continues to manipulate the ankle. He never relents. While Almarwai has been playing defense thus far, Musumeci has had numerous scoring chances.

We have reached the midpoint of the single 10-minute round. Musumeci has called the sixth catch in favor of Musumeci, who is currently controlling the match.

Almarwai is essentially stuck because Musumeci won’t let go in the least. At last, Almarwai is free.

Musumeci is trying to get his first scoring opportunity, but his defense is superb. He clings to the ankle once more. Now that he has Amarwai’s back, Musumeci is attempting to choke him rear-naked.

Almarwai taps after he has it. The champion delivered a dominant performance. Musumeci defeated Almarwai via rear-naked choke.

Musumeci happily received a $50,000 performance incentive from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong in addition to keeping his 26 pounds of solid gold.
