Robert Brown, a Toowoomba photographer passed away as a result of wounds sustained in a robbery attack. Let’s see, what happened to Robert Brown in detail.

What happened to Robert Brown?

Robert Brown, a 75 year old Toowoomba man has died in hospital following the CBD attack last week. He was severely hurt last week while waiting in a taxi queue.

Four teenagers were charged in connection with the alleged assault. An 18-year-old guy reportedly pushed Robert Brown, 75, off a taxi rank on Margaret St. in North Toowoomba last Monday.

He fell and injured his head on the pavement as a result of the alleged push. Robert sadly passed away from the injuries he suffered from an alleged attack.

The teenager was accused of stealing Brown’s backpack, and police charged him with robbery with violence and severe bodily harm.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, Brown was not breathing and rescuers used CPR to restart his heart. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition where he passed away today.

 

Who are the suspects?

Robert has suffered critical injuries after an alleged robbery attack and sadly passed away in a CBD attack.

After being detained on Monday night and being charged, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have now appeared in court.

Police detained another 16-year-old and a 17-year-old on Wednesday at a Drayton location and charged them with various offenses.

Four teenagers, including two 16 year old boys, one 17 year old boy and another 18 year old boy was charged in connection with this incident.

The police stated that the charges against the four adolescents were expected to be upgraded after the results of the post-mortem investigation. However, the names of the four teenagers were not disclosed by the officers.

CBD attack:

The 75-year-old was “minding his own business,” according to the police, when he was allegedly shoved to the ground and suffered serious injuries in the neck, spine and head.

The alleged attack took place just after 5.00 p.m. Then, it’s claimed, Mr. Brown’s backpack was snatched.

According to the Queensland Police Service, Mr. Brown passed away today after succumbing to his serious wounds.

Unique photographer:

Mr. Brown was a dedicated photographer and a life member of the Toowoomba Photographic Society, which has paid tribute to him.

Tryg Helander of the society remarked of Robert, “Robert [was] a unique storytelling photographer who captured many events and notable happenings around the region.”

He claimed that Mr. Brown enjoyed taking pictures of the mall where he was attacked in particular.

“Of note was his many prints of the growth of Grand Central, his happy hunting ground, ironically,” Mr. Helander stated.

“Robert had a contagious smile that you could feel in your heart, and his enthusiasm for photography was equally inspiring.”

Lot of photographer society has paid their tribute to the gentle photographer.

Police are requesting anyone who has found his backpack or has Dashcam video to come forward.

Police have now started their investigation.
