According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), deputies received a call about an overdue hiker on June 7 at about 6:17 p.m. Fraser was an extremely experienced” solo hiker.
The officials said 44-year-old Hunter B. Fraser of California abandoned his automobile at the Deer Ridge Trailhead on Monday, June 5.
He had a two-day, 40-mile walk planned and was due back by noon on June 7. His relatives told deputies that the last time they spoke with him was via text message on June 6. Since then, no one has heard from him.

Two crews from Clallam County Search and Rescue are currently searching the area. Hunter Fraser of California has been missing since June 5, 2023.
Although the CCSO believes his trip was likely a loop, the precise path he took is unknown. Hunter was carrying a well-supplied grey backpack as well as a teal one-person tent.
He has a trim build and is 6’4″. He also wears spectacles. Authorities claim that he is a very skilled hiker who is capable of making such a solo trip.
His car was discovered in an established parking lot close to Deer Ridge Trail. Two Clallam County Search and Rescue teams are currently searching for him.
