Katie Smith, 16, of Deckham, Gateshead, was reported missing shortly before 10.30 p.m. yesterday (May 26), and Northumbria Police are asking for more information to locate her. Keep reading to know more about what happened to the missing 16-year-old Katie Smith in detail.

 

Katie Smith missing:

Police have asked the public for assistance in finding a missing teenager from Gateshead.

The 16-year-old Katie Smith is still being sought after; she was reported missing on Friday, May 26, just before 10:30 p.m.

According to authorities, the teenager from the Deckham neighborhood is reportedly with a man she knows.

The two are thought to have been seen together at around 7:35 this morning (Saturday, May 27) in Newcastle’s Silver Lonnen neighborhood, but they have already departed the area.

Anyone who has seen Katie is now encouraged to call Northumbria Police right away.

Katie Smith’s Description:

Katie is characterized as,

  • a Caucasian woman with long brown hair,
  • a slender frame, and
  • a height of 5’3″.

She has been reported to be wearing,

  • a black T-shirt,
  • black athletic shorts, and
  • black shoes.

She is also wearing purple-tinged spectacles with a clear frame.

Officers have pleaded with Katie or anyone who knows the teen’s location to get in touch because they want to make sure she is safe and well.

Call the police at 999 or 101 right away and reference log NP-20230526-1504 if you know anything or think you have seen Katie.
