Kashmir police encounters: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed five terrorists, including a Jaish-e-Mohammed commander, in two separate encounters, according to police.

They claimed the clashes happened last night amid anti-terror operations in the Pulwama and Budgam districts.

“In the previous 12 hours, five Pakistan-sponsored terrorists from the LeT and the JeM were killed in two separate confrontations. Zahid Wani, a JeM terrorist commander, and a Pakistani terrorist were among those murdered. For us, it was a huge success “In a tweet, the police said.

One terrorist was killed in another operation in the Budgam district’s Chrar-e-Sharief region. The encounter location yielded one AK rifle, according to police.

Vijay Kumar, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Kashmir, described the encounters as a big victory for the police.

 

 

More than a dozen encounters in the Valley have resulted in the deaths of 22 terrorists in the previous month.

Kashmir Terrorist Attack: On Saturday, a police constable was killed by terrorists in the Bijbehara region of the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The dead police officer has been named as head constable Ali Muhammad, according to numerous news outlets.

He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Police have filed a report under the relevant parts of the law. “Investigation is ongoing, and investigators are working to determine the complete facts surrounding this terror crime,” police added.

Three terrorists were slain in a nocturnal operation in Anantnag’s Nowgam Dooru region on December 29, while three more were gunned down in Kulgam’s Mirhama hamlet.

According to the authorities, all of the terrorists, two of whom were foreign nationals, were linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit. Three of them were part of the attack on a police bus in Zewan on December 13, which resulted in the deaths of three officers.
