Souta Kusada cause of death? How did the KanColle Mutsuki Illustrator die? Explained

Souta Kusada, an illustrator for the Kantai Collection, has died. The Kantai Collection video game’s images of Mutsuki, Kisaragi, Yayoi, Uzuki, and Minazuki were created by Kusada. Let’s look at how she died and Souta Kusada cause of death in detail

How did the KanColle Mutsuki Illustrator die?

On October 5, 2022, Souta Kusada passed away. She was the illustrator of various Kantai Collection (KanColle) ship girls, such as Mutsuki and HMAS Perth. Her spouse, who broke the news on her Twitter account on October 10, 2022, is the only survivor. Before the announcement, the surviving family staged a vigil and funeral service.

Dear fans, I am Sota Kusada’s husband. It may be sudden, but there is something I would like to tell you on behalf of the person himself. It is very sad, but Sota Kusada departed for heaven on October 5th of his own free will (he passed the wake and farewell ceremony without incident)

After 14 years of friendship, the couple got hitched in January 2020. Kusada’s spouse stated in the tweet thread that she “went to heaven by her own decision” on October 5, 2022. He observed incomplete artwork on her computer screen and a calendar with no canceled appointments. But since there were no testaments, he concluded she acted rashly.

Who is Souta Kusada?

Souta Kusada is most known for creating five of the twelve Mutsuki-class destroyer ship girls in KanColle. And a PC browser game developed by Kadokawa Games that helped popularise the idea of anthropomorphizing historical warships.

The first four ships—Mutsuki, Kisaragi, Yayoi, and Uzuki—as well as the sixth ship, Minazuki, were on the roster.

The 2015 anime season of KanColle featured Mutsuki as one of its key characters.

Later, Kusada created the Australian light cruiser, HMAS Perth, for KanColle.

On Mikoto Inunakiyama, the Osaka representative of the hot spring anthropomorphization series Onsen Musume, Kusada worked on the design outside of KanColle.

Additionally, she produced VTuber designs for Mia Mizugame and Sakaizumi Riri in addition to herself. In Japan, Android smartphones and PC browsers can access the Kantai Collection, also known as Fleet Girls Collection and KanColle.

A follow-up season of the anime adaption will have its Japanese premiere in November 2022; it was broadcast in 2015 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

Souta Kusada cause of death

Kusada’s spouse was unable to locate any notes that she had left. He verified that none of her recent or upcoming appointments had been changed or canceled, as indicated by her schedule book. When she passed away, there was a sketchy sketch open on her computer. Her spouse mentioned that she developed migraines, was unable to sketch what she had imagined, and had other problems.

Medico topics have been trying to reach out to the family and relatives for comment on the incident. So far no responses have been received. We will update the page once enough information is available. More information on Souta Kusada cause of death will be added soon.

What did Souta Kusada’s spouse confess about her final days?

I was worried about whether to disclose the facts, but I know that the person himself does not want unreasonable speculation to spread to the world, so I thought I would like to convey the facts as much as possible. (I have heard that while she is still alive, he hates being told rumors about Sota Kusada against his will on the internet.)

I looked for it, but there seems to be no suicide note, so I think it was probably an impulsive action. I found a schedule book, but I have confirmed that all future appointments are still intact and there have been no cancellations of recent appointments.

Also, when she was alive, she suffered from various things such as headaches and being unable to draw as he wanted. I am sorry to write my personal thoughts here, but she feels great remorse for not being able to follow her in such a situation.

As you can see in her last tweet, there is no doubt that he was working hard toward a new challenge, and the final screen on her PC was a rough draft. After all, I regret that I could not do something about it, but it is also true that what has happened in reality cannot be changed.

So I would like to accept reality firmly. It was about two and a half years after I got married to Mr. Sota Kusada, and about 14 years after I met her. During that time, she has left many works as an illustrator, supported by many fans. On her behalf, she would like to say a big thank you to all of her fans.

If you have her illustrations, doujinshi, goods, etc., please look back and think about her efforts. The feedback she received from her fans was supportive of her. I think it is the best memorial service for everyone to look at the work that she left behind, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

Also, I believe that it is my mission to convey her work as much as possible, so I would like to preserve as much of her record as possible on the web. If I have to contact you about something, I will use this account, but I would like to keep it to a minimum, so I will refrain from replying to replies.

This is silly, but just in case. I think that all the fans of Mr. Sota Kusada will be fine, but please do not follow suit. She would never be happy about such things, and those around her would surely be sad. She’s really just in case, but let her write a word.

From here on it’s a business story. She drew illustrations at her request of her while she was alive, but since this happened, I think there are some things that I haven’t been able to deliver. I am not able to fully understand this.

Therefore, if you need to contact me about anything related to work, please send a DM to the account created for contact or contact the email address below. Contact account: @KsOshigoto

I am very sorry that this has happened, and I would like to apologize again. She is head over heels for fans who have been looking forward to her future work.

Finally, I collected as many of her doujin works as I could and took some pictures, so I’ll attach them here (I hurriedly lined them up at the wake, so I’m sorry that the books overlapped. Also, the upside-down ones There is…). Thank you very much for reading this lengthy post.
