How did Jeff Manning die?

Jeff Manning’s passing was announced on the Facebook page of the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, NM. The statement reads,

“It’s with a heavy heart that we inform our community that our SJCSO family has lost one of our own. Reserve Deputy Jeff Manning passed away this past weekend from a medical emergency. Our staff escorted him home from Denver on Sunday and have provided a 24-hour guard while his family prepares to lay him to rest.”

Sheriff Shane Ferrari said, “The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office offers its deepest condolences to the Manning family”

“Deputy Manning could always be counted on when we needed him, regardless of the time or place. He was a great man and a highly respected leader in our community.” the statement added.

A member of the SJCSO family, Jeff Manning has passed away. Jeff Manning cause of death was a medical emergency. 

For the past six years, Jeff Manning has volunteered hundreds of hours annually as a Reserve Deputy to keep our neighborhood secure. He has been instrumental in filling in for our Civil Division in recent years, going great distances to help with prisoner transports.

The Reserve Deputy’s duties include:

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Deputy Program and its members shall be responsible for assisting in the enforcement of the law by collaborating with all law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies in San Juan County as requested.

Jeff Manning Funeral:

The funeral service for Jeff Manning will be held on Friday, November 18, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kirtland, 10 Rd., 6523 Kirtland, NM. Jeff Manning’s family requested that those who wish to pay their respects to Manning can attend the funeral service.

It is with broken hearts that we let everyone know that Jeff Manning passed from this life early this afternoon. He fought hard for 6 days but went peacefully into the arms of our Savior. We know that our father Jim Manning was there with many other family members to greet him. What a REUNION! Tammie, their children, grandchildren, siblings, and our Mother would like to thank all those who prayed, fasted, messaged, and sent love and support. We have been strengthened and uplifted by all of you. His viewing will be on Thursday at Farmington Funeral home on Apache and the Funeral will be at 11:00 on Friday the 18th at the Kirtland LDS chapel. Rest In Love Jeff.
