How did Psalm Adjeteyfio die: Veteran actor Psalm Adjetefio, also known as TT, died of heart failure on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the age of 74. Fans have been posting his photos and expressing their condolences on their timelines on social media.

 

Who was Psalm Adjeteyfio?

Psalm Adjeteyfio, also known as T.T, is a seasoned Ghanaian actor who has appeared in a number of films and videos. He is best known for his role as T.T in the Ghanaian television series Taxi Driver.

Psalm Adjetefio began his career as a trained teacher tutoring students in the Ga language at the PRESEC staff school.

When asked how he got into acting, he recalled being invited to star in a film by Emmanuel Appea after a recommendation from a very good friend who saw his ability to interpret characters very well, which landed him the role.

T.T has made a name for himself in Ghana’s film industry. With over 20 years of acting experience, he is regarded as a bridge between the old and new breeds of actors.

He has more than ten films to his credit.

 

Cause of death

How did Psalm Adjeteyfio die: Psalm Adjeteyfio, popularly known as TT of Taxi Driver fame, has died of heart failure.

According to the actor’s family, he died on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the age of 74.

They revealed that his son discovered him unconscious in his room. After resuscitation attempts failed, he was taken to the hospital for emergency care.

On arrival, however, he was pronounced dead. The actor’s body has since been taken to the mortuary.

 

What happened to Psalm Adjeteyfio

Previously, the actor revealed in several interviews that he has a heart condition and kidney failure.

In 2018, there was a fundraising campaign to raise funds for his heart expansion treatment.
This was followed by a viral appeal for ¢3,000 in 2021 for him to pay his bills or risk being evicted.

TT, as he is affectionately known, revealed that after years of acting, he had nothing to show for it and now survives on the kindness of others.

He stated that he had spent GH¢6,000 on hospital bills and medication, and that help from family and friends had dried up as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The actor revealed once more that he has become a charity case and will be evicted soon if help is not found.
Following his appeal, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare, and other prominent figures offered their support.

According to a Facebook post by Krobea Kwabena Asante, the Vice President’s spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako, paid a visit to the presenter who interviewed Mr. Adjeteyfio to donate GH50,000 to the actor. This was followed by a GH¢40,000 donation from the Chief of Staff.

Again, Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey pledged a monthly stipend of ¢1,500 from his parliamentary salary to ensure his well-being. Months later, ‘T. T.’ returned with another request.

According to him, he had invested the funds received from these donations, which explains his current situation.

He went on to say that when the Vice President’s gesture was announced, all other potential donors backed down.
This earned him the wrath of Ghanaians.

However, in an appearance on Joy Prime’s Changes in January, the ‘Taxi Driver’ stated that he is unconcerned about the development because he is aware of how serious his situation is.

According to Nii Adjei, his father was unconscious when one of his sons visited him on Friday, even though he was already suffering from diabetes and other ailments.
