John Aniston, who was born on July 24, 1933, in Crete, Greece, is best known for playing Victor Kiriakis on the popular television series “Days of Our Lives.” He made his debut in 1965 and continued for more than three decades, up until 2022. Aniston got his bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Pennsylvania State University. He became a member of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity at Pennsylvania State University. After college, he served in the United States Navy as an intelligence officer on active duty in Panama and eventually reached the rank of lieutenant commander.
Aniston made his acting debut in the 1962 episode “New Man in the Precinct” of the 87th Precinct as “Officer #1.” Since joining Days of Our Lives in 1970 as a character named Eric Richards, he has frequently appeared in soap operas. He appeared in one episode of “Love of Life” in 1975 after joining the cast as Eddie Aleata. From 1980 through April 1984, he portrayed Martin Tourneur, Mary Stuart’s new love interest, in Search for Tomorrow. In July 1985, he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives once more; this time, he played Victor Kiriakis, and he still does so as of 2021.
Aniston also had minor appearances in episodes of the TV shows Airwolf’s second season, “Short Walk to Freedom,” Gilmore Girls’ “A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving” from 2002, The West Wing’s “Game On” and “Debate Camp” from 2002, and Mission Impossible’s “Time Bomb” from 1969 as the First IMF Captain. Also a guest star, Aniston has appeared in episodes of Combat! (1964), My Big Fat Greek Life (2002), Star Trek: Voyager (2001), American Dreams (with Days co-star Frances Reid), Journeyman, and Mad Men.

Aniston received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Daytime Emmy Award in 2017.
Aniston will be honored with a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award on June 18 during the 49th Annual Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards, which was revealed in April 2022.
