Perth native Sariah Saibu passed away unexpectedly this month after a car crash. She played the lead in a 2021 short film that won an award. Her family members claim she exuded “love and brightness.”

On January 30, Sariah Saibu, who acted in the Beautiful They short film that won an award in 2021, passed away. The performer, who was from Perth, was described as radiating “love and light” and, as one distraught relative said, “may her brilliant soul continue to shine.”

Her aunt Cassandra Colvin commented, “We lost our beloved Sariah this morning.” “I’m having a hard time putting into words the sadness that I and her family are feeling right now. “Rest in peace, lovely. We love you always.”

Who was Sariah Saibu?

Saibu portrayed Violet in the movie Beautiful They, which was shown at the Tribecca Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival. Australian actor Morgan Davies played Blue.

Another friend described Saibu as a ‘bubbly, beautiful soul’ with an ‘amazing sense of humor.’ ‘She always had time for a chat and poured her whole heart into he friends and her passions,’ they said. ‘Rest in power Sariah, we won’t forget you.’

The fundraiser, which will help her family cover the costs of memorials in both cities, has raised $4896 since it was launched on Wednesday. Saibu will be farewelled at a service at Kidogo Art House Fremantle on 15 February and at a ceremony held at Garramilla, in Darwin, in March.

This will be a celebration to remember, giving us a chance to unite and say goodbye to Sariah with open hearts, wigs optional, and happy memories that will last a lifetime. There will be a tonne of delicious food, enjoyable music, and delightful surprises woven into this special event! Remember this day! Wigs will not be required, however, the start time is anticipated to be approximately 3 pm.
