The actor Nashawn Ox Breedlove who portrayed Lotto in “8 Mile” has passed away. Nashawn Ox Breedlove made a memorable appearance in the film, and his contribution to the movie will be remembered by fans.

Nashawn Breedlove, Rapper/ Actor passed away unexpectedly. He was known for his role as Lotto from 8 Mile. 

Mickey Factz, who paid the actor tribute on social media on Monday, September 25, 2023 broke the news of his death first.

“RIP to one of the few emcees to beat Eminem… Lotto from 8 Mile. Who’s friends lovingly called him, OX,” he wrote. “You will be missed for your tenacity and aggressiveness.”

In a comment on Mickey’s post, battle rapper Daylyt also praised the 8 Mile star, stating: “The first MC who was ever robbed of his win in a rap battle! Rip lotto.”

In the comments area, Pete Rock, Onyx, and Grafh also responded to Breedlove’s passing. 

Who was Nashawn Breedlove?

Nashawn Breedlove was an actor as well as rapper from Newark, United States. Actor Nashawn Breedlove portrayed Lotto in the 2002 battle rap movie 8 Mile. Apart from movies, he used to fight rap under the alias ‘Ox’. He also appeared on the 2001 soundtrack for The Wash, a film starring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Pooh.

Nashawn Breedlove was an alumni of Irvington High School. His most noteworthy performance was as the feisty Lotto in the movie “8 Mile,” when he engaged in a dramatic fight with Eminem’s B-Rabbit and gave him a tough challenge before losing.

Alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Pooh on the soundtrack of the 2001 movie “The Wash,” Breedlove gained a name for himself in the world of rap music under the nickname Ox.
