Kathryn “Katie” Hansen is a 27-year-old suspect from Arizona. Police are searching for 27-year-old Kathryn “Katie” Hansen, who authorities say escaped after being charged with the murder of 32-year-old Keith Emmons.

According to authorities, the crime occurred in the early morning hours of February 7 near Southern Avenue and Sossaman Road around 2 a.m.

What happened?

Authorities said Tuesday that an Arizona woman is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that killed a man inside a bedroom last month.

Details of what led up to the shooting have not been released. Kathryn “Katie” Hansen, 27, is accused of killing 32-year-old Keith Emmons, according to the Mesa Police Department.

Emmons was discovered inside a bedroom at the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Emmons was declared dead on the scene.

Hansen is described by police as a white female who is 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Hansen has hazel eyes and brown hair, and she has a tattoo that says “Stay True” over her right brow.

Police seeking public assistance:

Mesa Police are requesting public assistance in finding the 27-year-old woman. The statement from the police says,

If you have any information about this case, please contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

“The Mesa Police Department will prosecute anyone who hides or prevents the arrest of a wanted homicide suspect in accordance with ARS 13-2512B1; Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree which is a class 3 felony,” the department says.
