Five people were killed in a Texas residence by a suspect armed with an AR-15-type rifle. Let’s see more about the Cleveland shooting and who is the suspect Francisco Oropeza in detail.

Who is Francisco Oropeza?

In Texas, a Mexican killed a mother, her 8-year-old boy, a couple of husbands, and a friend in a horrifying series of “execution style” killings, according to authorities.

Francisco Oropeza, 39, was wanted after being accused of five charges of murder. The suspect, Francisco Oropeza, is currently the target of a manhunt.

A judge set a $5 million bond and issued an arrest warrant for Oropeza. Authorities believe Oropeza is now within a two-mile radius of the location and fled on foot or by bicycle.

According to police, the incident occurred on Friday at 11:31 p.m. local time, when the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding harassment in the town of Cleveland, roughly 55 miles north of Houston.

San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers states that “Mexico-born Francisco Oropeza is the one who went over to his next neighbors and executed five of the 10 people at the house.”

Capers hopes to find the suspect quickly so that the five arrest warrants can be executed.

Cleveland Shooting- Explained:

Authorities discovered multiple victims who had been shot at the property when they got to the scene, according to the police.

Two of the deceased were males and three were females, including an 8-year-old kid who was the youngest. According to officials, two female victims were found in the bedroom sleeping on top of two surviving children.

Fortunately, five others in the home survived including three minors discovered, bloody but unharmed. They were sent to a nearby hospital.

According to police, they think the shooting happened as a result of neighbors’ requests for the suspect to stop firing his rifle in the front yard because a baby was trying to go to sleep.

Why did the suspect kill 5 of his neighbors?

Oropeza continuously fired the rifle in his yard and allegedly lost his temper when the neighbors said their infant was trying to go sleep at around 11 p.m.

“My understanding is that the victims, they came over to the fence and said ‘Hey could [you not do your] shooting out in the yard? We have a young baby that’s trying to go to sleep”

Greg Capers, the sheriff for San Jacinto County, told that the man had been drinking when he said, “I’ll do what I want to in my front yard”.

Capers told that the situation soon escalated from harassment to a shooting. Oropeza was captured on camera approaching the victims’ front door and then entering, according to the authorities.

“They went back in their house and then we have a video of him walking up their driveway with his AR-15.”, Capers added.

He stated that the authorities thought some of the victims were protecting their kids. The bodies of the deceased victims were located on the top of Children who were unharmed.

“In my opinion, they were actually trying to take care of the babies and keep them babies alive,”, Capers added.

‘It’s Horrible’:

The 8-year-old passed away in a hospital, and the adults were pronounced dead at the site, according to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. Capers claimed that the residents of the home were family members.

Cleveland is located around 40 miles northeast of Houston’s city center. The victims had relocated from Houston’s Harris County to Cleveland.

Capers claimed that they resided in the “regular country neighborhood” of Trails End and that their home was between 1,500 and 1,800 square feet in size.

After the killings, the shooter ran away, but Capers suspected he was still within two miles of the house early on Saturday.

“It’s horrible”, Capers declared. “This scene, the blood, the trauma that happened in that house should never have to be seen by anyone”

Authorities claimed that “Oropeza is carrying an AR-15-style gun and is likely intoxicated. Oropeza is a 5-foot-8 Hispanic male, according to deputies.

He was last seen with work boots, a black shirt, and jeans on. He has a goatee and short black hair.”

According to police, the suspect “has been known to shoot his .223 out in his front yard, which is evident by the shell casings that are laying in the front yard.” Capers reported that the shooter fired from a .223 rifle.

A manhunt is currently underway for the 39-year-old Francisco Oropeza. If you know any information about the suspect, please call 911.
