The social club was busy on Sunday afternoon as people enjoyed a pool tournament.

At the cordon, a crowd has formed and is asking questions to understand what is going on.

Only homeowners are permitted access to the cordon, which extends on either side of the club from Suffolk Road up to Glen Road.

The police presence here will probably continue for several hours.

“I’m thinking of and feeling sorry for the family of this man. “Although I don’t directly know the victim, I am aware that there is a family, and at this time, our thoughts and sympathies are with this man’s family.

“There is a family there, and they are undoubtedly in a grief process right now. They will seek support from the local community as well.

But there is shock throughout the neighborhood, and people are sending this man’s family their sympathies.

Mr. Maskey urged anyone with information to come forward to the police. “I condemn those responsible. There is no place for guns on our streets,” he said.
