Watch Adriana Chechik broke her back: What happened? Explained

Adriana Chechik broke her back

Adriana Chechik recently fractured her back twice after jumping into a foam pit at the recent TwitchCon in San Diego, California.

The events at TwitchCon, which began on Friday and continue through Sunday night, including a foam pit.

What happened to Adriana in TwitchCon?

Adriana falls backward and then sobbed in pain and pleaded for help in the incident’s video. Popular Twitch streamer and adult performer Adriana Chechik said she injured her back after diving into a foam pit at TwitchCon in San Diego.

In the video, EdyBot, a gaming streamer, and Chechik can be seen fighting in a “Face Off” with foam “swords” above the foam pit. EdyBot is then seen falling into the pit. Chechik performs an air split and bounces up and down to celebrate winning the face-off before landing on her tailbone in a pit filled with foam blocks.

Streamers have been jumping into the pit after engaging in combat on some raised platforms in the Gladiators-style. According to reports, many of them have been suffering severe injuries.

Adriana Chechik has the most serious injury, as can be seen in the video posted by Clippy Chimp, in which she jumps off a small platform, breaks her legs, and then lands on her back before rolling over and expressing her inability to get up. Following an announcer asked her if she is ok? But she can’t move out of the pit.

She wasn’t doing well! Chechik tweeted afterward, “Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”

Following her injury, her friend EdyBot, who was another person jumping in the video, made an appeal for others to come forward. EdyBot hurt her back and other people also claimed that they also suffered in the same pit, including a dislocated knee.

What is TwitchCon?

TwitchCon, a convention that brings together streamers and fans, is held twice a year, once in North America and once in Europe. Due to Covid, the live event was postponed in 2020 and broadcast online. TwitchCon Amsterdam took place in July, and now it takes place in San Diego, marking its comeback after a two-year break.

Sources have exposed that the foam pit is a collaboration between Intel and Levono as opposed to a program held on by Twitch. It is still unclear whether the injured persons would receive any compensation. Before entering the foam pit, users have to sign a waiver understanding the risk of injury or property damage. After this incident, the foam pit was shut down at midday.

How did Adriana break her back?

Adriana Chechik streams videos of herself performing stunts, playing video games, and creating ASMR content for her audience of more than 3.8 million Instagram followers and 801,000 Twitch subscribers.

The evidence says that the pit foam is too deep so it causes several incidents. Injuries may have resulted from the pit’s modest depth, according to attendees like EdyBot and Grayson. EdyBot characterizes the hole as being “like three cubes deep,” while Grayson claims that “the pit itself goes down about a foot.”

Gymnastics says that foam pits are normally constructed on a trampoline foundation and range in depth from 4 to 8 feet. The Representative said that the area is now closed to all visitors as we cooperate with the event’s organizers to investigate the incidents. The evidence in the video shows that a foam pit is intended to swallow, yet these people bounce back pretty hard and immediately after landing. However, there is no explanation from the organizers of this event.

@Sweetiechick23 and @adrianachechik She jumped into a foam pit at Twitchcon, but it turned out they didn’t bother to pad the bottom properly so she essentially landed on hard concrete. So basically negligence on the part of the con.

Sonny Bauer tweeted,
The foam pit setup at #TwitchCon2022 is beyond irresponsible, unsafe, and negligent. Now, Adriana Chechik has potential life-altering injuries, breaking her back in two places. Someone else broke or dislocated their knee as well? This could have been completely avoided.

I’ve seen Adriana Chechik take some pretty hard things, but she gets her back broken at TwitchCon?! What is happening?!
