Malawian music artist Victor Mwangobola alias Tremour has died today at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe where he was hospitalised a few days ago.

Towera Chaswabande, his mother, has confirmed his demise news. Last Sunday, while riding a motorbike, the artist (Kabanza) was engaged in a car accident.

The artist suffered significant head and skull injuries as a result of the collision. Tremour became famous with his Mpanipani music track which inspired many Malawians.


How did Tremour die?

A few days after suffering head injuries in a car accident, musician Tremour passed away. His mother, Towera Chaswabande, confirmed the passing of Tremour, also known as Victor Mwangobola, to the local media.

His family requested money last week to help the musician while he was receiving medical treatment after being hurt in a car accident.

Famous artist Tremour is in critical condition before death

Following a horrific car accident, renowned artist Tremour, whose actual name is Victor Mangobola, is currently battling for his life at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe. 

He was riding a motorbike (Kabaza) when he was struck by a car on Sunday night as he was leaving a recording studio.

Tragically, the driver who caused the collision fled the scene, leaving Tremour and the other victims hurt and no one to blame.

Who was Tremour?

Tremor, a prominent pop singer known for his most recent singles Mpanipani and Golide M’moto, both of which were released in 2022, is back with yet another gorgeous video from his most recent album, Mudzi. Tremour was also an actor who played mostly in his own music videos. 

The video was released a week ago on June 2023 by Tremour, real name Victor Yaphama Mwangobola. The afro-pop sensation, known for his signature song “Mvera Again,” recently published a new album titled Golide Mu Moto.

The album contains 10 songs that address many facets of contemporary daily life. The artist conveys an uplifting message to Malawians in Mudzi. He is urging people to coexist peacefully with others despite their disparate viewpoints on several issues.

“We are living in a world where misunderstandings are just a second away on a daily base hence forgiveness and surrendering remains the key to a calm nation. The video that I have released covers all that and the need for all of us to come together” he said.

Tremour, a musician who debuted in 2011, told Zodiak Online that he is pleased with the response his music has gotten recently. The multi-talented musician and licensed barber claims that Billy Kaunda, Skeffa Chimoto, and the late Wambali Mkandawire are his local musical inspirations.
