Jade Fox Lounge shooting:

Authorities are looking into a shooting that happened early on Saturday inside the Jade Fox Lounge at 3010 Lakeland Highlands Road. One person died in the incident, while another is still in serious condition.

According to Lakeland Police spokeswoman Stephanie Kerr, the suspect in the 1:51 a.m. shooting is a 23-year-old woman.

The 3,500-square-foot lounge is located in the Winn-Dixie-anchored Highlands Plaza shopping mall.

Dwayne Bacon, a former FSU star and NBA player, hosted a party on Friday night with Nique as a special guest and discounted Rey Supremo tequila shots. Videos from the event that were supposedly afterwards taken from Facebook by the venue showed that it was a widely attended event with all-white attire.

As the party was coming to a conclusion, shooting took place. Jian Zhang, the proprietor of the lounge, explained that according to local regulations, establishments that serve alcohol must shut down by 2 a.m., so at 1:40 a.m. the staff turned on the lights and began to ask customers to leave.

However, a group made an attempt to enter about that time. Apparently a fight started after they were turned away.

Rapper 350Heem death:

Police gave the victims’ ages as a 48-year-old lady and a 25-year-old man, but they are withholding the victims’ names by Marsy’s Law. Unverified rumors state that Bacon’s brother was one of the victims.

Two police officers who were working at the lounge off-duty, according to Kerr, were already there. A personal vehicle was used to transport the 25-year-old shooting victim to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, where he was later declared dead.

The female victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital. According to Kerr, Jamilah Johnson, 23, was detained and a gun was found at the scene. Johnson has so far been accused of possessing a handgun as a convicted felon.

Detectives are carrying out additional inquiries to identify any additional shooters. Zhang claimed to have surveillance video of the incident, which he will present to LPD today.

This has happened twice in Lakeland in the last two months. After a concert at a party location in the shopping centre formerly known as Searstown, a shooting occurred at Lakeland Town Center around 2:20 a.m. on May 25. A 27-year-old male managed to survive.

Who was Rapper 350Heem?

Rapper 350Heem is a musician and the sibling of former Panathinaikos player Dwayne Lee Bacon Jr., a professional basketball player for the United States who competes in the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague.

With his potent melodies and street anthems, the Lakeland, Florida native has made a name for himself in the music industry. His will to succeed has been motivated by his obstinate work ethic. Heem’s unquestionable ability has elevated him to phenom status on Tik-Tok thanks to the hits “Built 4 This” and “F**k a Friend.”

Heem’s talent to create hooks out of thin air and his party-starting bars have helped him amass a devoted following throughout the process. 350Heem’s Major League mixtape, which was widely praised and featured the smash song “Scat Day” with NoCap, was released in 2021. The project received tens of thousands of streams, underscoring the positive reviews. Heem takes control of 2022 with the third installment of the Taking Chances project series outside of the Motown Records banner.

Lounge owner’s statement:

In December 2018, The Jade Fox Lounge started. Zhang, its founder, immigrated to the United States from China when he was just 7 years old and graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in 2006.

According to an interview he gave to Business Observer in 2019, he planned to open a high-end, high-energy dance club with DJs and a full liquor bar so Lakelanders could “stop going to Orlando or Tampa” for nightlife.

In the five years that Zhang has operated the lounge, there have been a few loud customers, but nothing like the violence that occurred overnight, he claimed. The Jade Fox is only open for four hours on two nights a week.
