Who is Tom Henry?

Thomas Christopher Henry was born on November 8, 1951, an American businessman and politician who is the 35th Mayor of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attended Fort Wayne Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1970. Tom Henry served in the United States Army Military Police Corps from 1971 to 1973.

He then received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA, both from the University of Saint Francis. A member of the Democratic Party. Mayor Henry and his wife, Cindy, have been married since 1975. They have two grown children and four grandchildren. Henry and his families are Catholics and members of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.

What happened on the night drive?

Fort Wayne Mayor Thomas Henry had been booked for OWI (operating while intoxicated). On Sunday, the Jail officials told WPTA about Thomas Henry and the entire incident. He was arrested for driving drunk on October 9th, 2022, stating extreme embarrassment and offering appropriately sincere apologies.

“I am sorry that I put you in such a situation last evening as I can assure you that I know better.”

Henry, 70, delivered a statement to reporters a few hours after leaving the Allen County jail and expressed regret for “the horrible judgment I made to get behind the wheel” after drinking alcohol at an event on Saturday.

He remarked, “I will be held accountable for those activities in subsequent judicial proceedings, like every other resident of the city of Fort Wayne.” “I regard the judicial system. I’ll follow the law as it stands. I’ll take the repercussions, too. Democratic incumbent Henry, who was initially elected in 2007, has declared his intention to run again in 2023. With a population of 265,000, Fort Wayne is located 120 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Tom Didier, a Republican who intends to run for mayor, said he has known the Henry family for years.
“These relationships go beyond politics,” he said. “I would exhort everyone to pray for them and all those involved in this accident and I hope that no one was quite harmed.”
