Lesiba Marokana, better known by his stage name Stix, passed away on June 1, 2023. This sad news was announced by Metro FM on their social media post.
On their social media channels, they posted the breaking news and expressed their sympathies to his friends and family. The statement reads,
“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved music compiler, Lesiba Marokana, who passed away yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues,” they stated.
His cause of death was not stated yet. His colleagues also paid tribute to him on air, with Break Away with Khutso Theledi closing out the show on Friday morning, 2 June, with a message from Given Baloyi on his part called the Break Away Note with Given Baloyi.
Who was Lesiba Marokana?
Marokana was a music compiler for Y, 5FM, and most recently Metro FM. He was well-known in the music business and freely imparted his knowledge to others around him.
He was a talented music compiler who is known for his work at YFm, which is a Broadcasting company with an estimated 70 employees. YFm is located in South Africa.
