Kerry Bodney, 31, was identified as the passenger who died in a crash that occurred in Balga, northern Perth, on Wednesday morning, which wounded four other passengers.
Ms. Bodney was the mother of the two-year-old son, Robert, who was killed by her then-partner in 2012.

Kerry Bodney was a passenger in a BMW that allegedly ran a red light and collided with another vehicle. Jahleel Delaine Berryman, the alleged driver, is now facing manslaughter charges.

Kerry Bodney died in the hospital after being involved in a car accident on Wednesday morning. According to police, Bodney was a passenger in a black BMW sedan traveling east on Beach Rd when the vehicle reportedly ran a red light.
Around 11.35 a.m., the BMW collided with a southbound automobile on Mirrabooka Ave, critically injuring Bodney.
She was immediately taken to the emergency care and later passed away at Royal Perth Hospital. The BMW’s driver is said to have left the scene before being captured in Mirrabooka and transported to the hospital.
The 27-year-old has been charged with manslaughter, failing to stop and seek aid after an incident that resulted in death, and failing to report an incident that resulted in death.
He has a court date scheduled for Thursday. Police claim that the BMW ran a red light and struck another vehicle at the crossroads of Mirrabooka Ave and Beach Road.

The tragedy occurred just over ten years after Bodney’s two-year-old son, Robert, was murdered by her ex-partner, Wayne Narkle.
After pleading guilty to murdering Robert Bodney in a Bassendean residence in December 2012, Narkle was given a life sentence in prison by the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2014.
In 2014, Wayne Murray Narkle received a minimum 15-year prison term. Before the collision that killed his baby son, the young father drove “like a maniac.”
Family and friends remembered Bodney as a “loving, beautiful person” on social media. “Rest in paradise, my darling. You be with your baby boy now, my sister,” Kayla Woods wrote.
On Wednesday, a number of emergency teams were dispatched to the area. A man in his forties was carried with severe wounds to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Two men in their 80s and 20s, as well as a lady in her 50s, were also sent to Joondalup Health Campus with non-life-threatening wounds.

Officers are requesting anyone with the Dashcam or mobile phone video of the incident to come forward.
