The suspect, who was seen escaping the crime scene in CCTV footage, was then captured and arrested then. The suspect’s father allegedly notified arresting officials that the culprit was hiding at Brgy. Tungkil in Minglanilla after the suspect consented to turn himself into the authorities. At this time, Vilagonzalo is being held at the Talisay City Police Station. Police have also seized the murder weapon, which was in the suspect’s sight before the killing.
