Is Vivian Trimble dies of cancer?

Rock band Luscious Jackson’s keyboardist and vocalist Vivian Trimble passed away on Tuesday (April 4). She passed away after receiving cancer treatment for years, according to a statement from her bandmates who verified the news. She was 59 years old.

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved friend and band member Viv on Tuesday,” she said. “We were not expecting this. She was a great friend and a gifted musician and choreographer, but it was being a partner to David and a mother to Nate and Rebecca that gave her the greatest joy. We are devastated beyond words to lose our graceful sister.”

Who was Vivian Trimble?

American musician Vivian Elizabeth Trimble (May 24, 1963 – April 4, 2023) is most known for her work as the keyboardist for the group Luscious Jackson from 1991 to 1998.

Moreover, she formed Kostars with bandmate Jill Cunniff and they created an album that was published in 1996. Trimble created the Dusty Trails duo with Josephine Wiggs after quitting Luscious Jackson in April 1998, and the two recorded an album in 2000.

Jill Cunniff, Gabby Glaser, and Trimble founded the group in 1991. Kate Schellenbach soon after their founding joined them. Trimble appears on the Beastie Boys’ 1994 album Natural Ingredients and 1996 album Fever In Fever Out, both of which were released on Grand Royal.

She left the group before Electric Honey was released in 1999, and even after Luscious Jackson came back together in 2011, Trimble didn’t.

Trimble and Cunniff had a group called Kostars outside of Luscious Jackson that recorded the Klassic With a “K” album for Grand Royal in 1996. She also collaborated with Josephine Wiggs of the Breeders in the duo Dusty Trails, which issued a self-titled album in 2000. Trimble is survived by her husband, David, and two children, Nathaniel and Rebecca.
