Waking up this morning to the truly devastating news that Simon Yaxley has passed away.

We crammed so many memories into our years at Lakeland Radio, and I am grateful for all of them – from the mundane to the hilarious and everything in between. Simon had so much talent to share, and so much kindness to give. He will be sorely missed.

Absolutely gutted to hear the news of Simon Yaxley’s passing. Manny and I considered him to be part of our Christmas family and shared some amazing times together. Many of you that came to see us in various Pantos will have laughed with him and at him. He DJ every NYE we had together and always made Kendal feel like coming home to us.

Please can someone let us know when the funeral is likely to be?

RIP to our friend.
