Ace & TJ Show
A nationally syndicated morning radio program, The Ace & TJ Show is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It mostly appeals to Southerners and is primarily highlighted in the South of the United States.
The Ace & TJ Show started airing as WHQC’s morning show on January 5, 2012. (“Channel 96-1”).
Ace & TJ made their radio debut on Charlotte’s WNKS (“Kiss 95.1”) on April 6, 1998.
Their final day on Kiss 95.1 was Friday, May 20, 2011, following some fruitless contract negotiations with CBS Radio.
They began looking for a new home station in Charlotte on December 1, 2011, once their non-compete agreement expired. Though they never took home the prize, Ace & TJ were nominated for the Radio and Records CHR “Personality Of The Year” eight times.
The program is accessible in the cities where it is broadcast on terrestrial radio. The Ace & TJ Button also offers access to the program online. Immediately after the conclusion of the terrestrial radio version of the show, AceTJ.com offers more content on The Ace & TJ Button.
Additionally, the iTunes App Store and the Android Market also have Ace & TJ Button apps. Ace & TJ will no longer be heard in Charlotte after August 31, 2021, except for minute-long excerpts that air all day on WXRC. This comes after the pair’s partnership with iHeartRadio ended.
Now that they are the owners of the program, the morning show will continue on 13 affiliates, eight of which will air the entire program, in addition to internet streaming and several applications.
On July 13, 2022, it was announced that the show would return to the WNKS website on July 18 and that Ace & TJ Anytime would continue to air on the station from 9 a.m. to noon.
Who was Ace?
Ace was the Rock star and lead singer of the band Charity Case.
Ace is one of the few people you’ll encounter who is doing what he has always wanted to do, having been enamored with radio since high school.
Before settling into his now 22-year relationship with TJ, Ace, a radio veteran of over 20 years, worked all air shifts and served as a program director, assistant program director, and promotions director.
On January 4, 2021, Ace wed his wife Amanda. He is the father of two children, son Cade and daughter Payton (dead), and he adores them both.
Ace, who earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from LSU in 1991, still has aspirations of using his four years of eligibility on any LSU sports team.
Ace has spent the past 20 years as the lead vocalist of Charity Case, in addition to his work with the show and its charity, Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids.
This is the rock group that began as a radio skit, but now just exists to raise money for Grin Kids.
To date, Charity Case has performed over 250 of their performances, raised over $1.1 million for Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids, and opened for other artists, including Bon Jovi, Train, Bret Michaels of Poison, Jason Mraz, and more.

The Ace & TJ show’s Facebook page confirmed the death of Ace’s mother, who has been a huge strength of Ace. The statement reads.
We’ve got some sad news to share. Ace’s mom passed away yesterday. Please keep Ace and his family in your prayers.
