Local emergency dispatchers report that one individual died after being hit while riding a motorbike on Tuesday afternoon near Milo-Grogan.
When the collision occurred, the motorist was moving through the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and East Third Avenue.
A COTA spokeswoman stated that the motorbike and a COTA Mainstream vehicle, a more compact paratransit vehicle intended to deliver ADA services, were both involved in the collision.
The COTA vehicle’s involvement in the incident was not disclosed by police dispatchers.
Around 4:45 p.m., paramedics arrived at the intersection and took the motorcyclist to OhioHealth Grant Medical Centre. The dispatcher stated that the person was declared dead at Grant around 20 minutes later, at 5:05 p.m.
The victim’s girlfriend posted the information on Facebook and identified the accident victim as Keaton Cody.
She wrote,

Investigation:
A spokesman for COTA stated that a third-party contractor supervises and provides its own operators to operate the Mainstream service.
Transdev, the contractor, is assisting law enforcement in their investigation of the collision and will update COTA.
The cause of the collision may not have been known at this time, according to police.
