‘Murder’ is revealed by a tip-off
The search and excavation of the property were launched after a tip-off to police that there might be a body at the premises. As a result, detectives reportedly discovered 20 hydroponically grown cannabis plants, a rifle, and ammunition.
The results of those investigations led to Yandle Sr.’s Monday appearance in Elizabeth Magistrates Court, where he is currently charged with homicide as well. According to officers, his 19-year-old son was also placed under remand and will next appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court. Inquiries about Steve Murphy’s whereabouts were made by police on Facebook on March 18. They expressed worry for his welfare because he was last seen at Kudla on February 15.
SA police launched murder investigation after body discovered
South Australian police have launched a homicide investigation after discovering human remains buried in the shed of a property in Adelaide’s northern suburbs on Tuesday afternoon. Major Crime Detective Inspector Mark McEachern said the body was found inside a 10m by 15m bunker at the property on Omsby Road in Kudla in the search for a missing man Steve Murphy.
“I can confirm that today our forensic examination has been focused on a large rear shed at the rear of this property,” Mr. Eachern said. “In particular a large manmade hole, a bunker which was about 20 by 15 meters and several meters deep.
“We’ve conducted some further excavation of that hole today and this afternoon have located human remains.” While police are yet to identify the remains they are believed to be those of missing northern suburbs man Steven Murphy, 38, who was last seen on February 15.
“We’ve spoken to Mr. Murphy’s relatives and advised them there’s been a development, but we can’t confirm to them that it is actually Steven.” “This death will be treated as a homicide. “At this point, we’re not going be making any comment about who is responsible and who or who not will be charged.”

Pretty sad, how can people take another man/ woman’s life… hopefully they are not going to get a slap on the wrist… life for a life.

Sad a life has been lost and IF the comments on here are true that he felt he had to break into someone else’s house to get by. Who knows the truth these days? So many assumptions. Two people know the truth and that is the deceased person and the other person who put him there. There will only ever be one side of the story now. Unfortunately killing him doesn’t solve the problem it creates another one in the sense that someone has to live with what they have done if they did it and if he has friends and family they have to deal with the loss. The sad outcome all around. Too many lives are being lost lately Intentionally or unintentionally.

People need to keep their unwanted bad comments to themselves. His family and friends are mourning and grieving. Have some respect and decency for the lost ones and loves ones.
