Dame had a rhyme scheme that frequently made one think of MC Shan, but with a more Northern Californian flavor. The issue with Dame’s debut Atlantic album, I Got What You Want, isn’t a lack of talent; once again, the MC (who was only 17 at the time the CD was made) had no trouble flowing. Lack of memorable lyrics is the main issue with this album.
