Emma Slater and Sasha Farber: Did They Break up?

In Touch officially announced their breakup in August 2022.

Us Weekly was the first to break the news and cited a source as saying, “They’ve been apart for several months now.”

They are both living single lives and have stopped wearing their wedding bands.

After months of rumors from fans, it was confirmed that Dancing With the Stars contestants Emma Slater and Sasha Farber are no longer together.

Fans are not surprised by this breakup because they have seen the couple apart numerous times.

The fans were right about this dance couple’s relationship. On August 24, it was revealed that Dancing With the Stars professionals Emma Slater and Sasha Farber have officially separated after four years of marriage.

The couple first sparked rumors of a breakup.

When neither Sasha nor Emma wished the other a happy fourth wedding anniversary in March 2022, rumors of the couple’s separation first arose.

On May 9, Sasha turned 38, and Emma did post birthday wishes for him, but the sentiment was more conciliatory than passionate.

“Happy birthday @sashafarber1!!! What a special one you are, no doubt about that 🙂 Thank you for all that you do and all that you are,” Emma wrote in her Instagram caption. “You are so loved, loved by everyone and you deserve the best always. You’re always there for everyone, doing everything to make other people happy. Even when there’s a lot going on. I wish you everything that your heart desires! Here to cheer you on no matter what!!”

The beautiful British native even admitted they were still living together post-split. “He’s the only family I have in America, and we still love each other. For now, living together is just totally fine,” she confessed, adding, “It’s not going to be forever, but I was glad that he decided to go on tour with me. I only ever want the best for him, but I will be there because we’re going to be there for each other.”

What did couples express about their breakup?

For years, viewers of Dancing With the Stars have cheered Emma Slater and Sasha Farber both on and off the dance floor.

The dancers first met in 2009 and began dating in 2011. However, after three years of dating, they decided to put their relationship on hold while still working together on the ABC show.

“It has its ups and downs, but Sasha means the world to me. I genuinely do,” the British national said in December 2014 when asked about working with her ex.

“I wouldn’t have spent the last three years of my life living so close to him. Simply put, he is the finest. We aren’t supposed to finish together, in my opinion.

Although I believe other people could bring us both happy, I will always be his best friend. Right now, I feel like his best friend. We recently transitioned from a wonderful, three-year relationship that I like to become best friends.

The couples resumed living together.

At the time, Slater also mentioned that the pair continued to live together.

“It’s only us!… We, however, are alright. I simply have the utmost respect for him,” she declared.

We were mature about it and came to that choice; yet, we agreed peacefully because we’re family. “We both knew that it wasn’t going the way that it should forever. We still adore one another, and he is the only family I have in America.

Living together is currently very acceptable. It won’t last forever, but I was happy that he chose to join me on tour. I will be there because we’re going to be there for each other, even if I just ever want the best for him.

Relationship Timeline

In 2009 the performers encountered on the set of Broadway’s Burn The Floor.

In 2011 they proved they were dating.

In 2014 after three years together, Slater and Farber called it to conclude but stayed friends.

In 2016 he proposed during a live taping of DWTS.

In 2018 a news channel revealed that the pair had exchanged vows in March. “It was something out of a fairy tale and she was beautiful,” Farber told. “I kept telling her every hour, every ten minutes, every five minutes, ‘You look beautiful.'”

In 2020 For season 29, Slater and Farber had to live apart due to coronavirus precautions.

The British dancer told Entertainment Tonight in August, “It’s so funny, when our brilliant producers informed us, “OK, so we have some news for you, you’re going to have to be quarantined individually, I laughed.”

“I just started giggling because I was so terrified.”

Slater added: “Obviously, we’ve lived together pre-COVID during the season, and we never really quarrel,” in an interview with Us.

Really, we don’t dispute all that much.

We become frustrated, but not at each other. For example, when I see him struggling with choreography, I’ll try to offer support.

We have very different types of choreography, but occasionally I’ll want to employ him and will ask, “Can I attempt to step out with you in the lounge?

In 2021 Slater opened up about maintaining balance in their work and personal relationships.

“I think we do a really good job of separating our work life from our home life, which is crazy because we literally [do] everything together,” she said. “So, it is hard to separate it. For some reason, we do a really good job with that. It’s just, like, it doesn’t get to us in our personal life.”

In 2022 it was confirmed that the couple ended their four-year marriage.

It was a “difficult decision” for the couple to separate, the insider added, that “they’ve been apart for many months now.”

They are both living single lives and have stopped wearing their wedding bands.
