Adam Peaty, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, has announced his breakup with partner Eiri Munro.
The Olympic swimmer had a two-year-old kid named George with Eiri during their three-year relationship.
Late last year, when Adam, then 27, participated on BBC One’s Strictly, he was paired with professional dancer Katya Jones, and their romance was forced into the public eye.
Since Adam was abroad for the show’s rehearsals, Adam’s wife, Eiri, felt like a “single parent” caring for their little boy.
Nearly a year later, the two have broken up, with the Olympic swimmer sharing the breaking news on Instagram.
Adam wrote: “Eiri and I have decided to go our own ways” next to a picture of him and Eiri with young George.
Who is Adam Peaty?
English competitive swimmer Adam George Peaty specialises in the breaststroke. He became the first male British swimmer to win the gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and he successfully defended his title at the 2020 Summer Olympics in 2021, making history as the first British swimmer to do so.
He has won the World Championship eight times, the European Championship sixteen times, and the Commonwealth Championship four times. Peaty is largely recognised as the most successful sprint breaststroke swimmer of all time and the most successful breaststroke swimmer of his era, according to FINA.
Peaty holds the world records for the 50- and 100-meter breaststrokes, and she hasn’t lost in either event in a long-course global championship since 2014. She has won eight straight global championships in both events, and her winning run was only broken in 2022 due to an injury. He has broken world records 14 times, swimming the 50-meter breaststroke in under 26 seconds and the 100-meter breaststroke in under 58 and 57 seconds, respectively.
He is the most successful British swimmer at a single World Championships and the first swimmer to ever win both sprint breaststroke events at the same World Championships.

The girlfriend of well-known British swimmer Adam Peaty is Eirianedd Munro. By herself, she is not very well-liked. However, she is well-known for being Adam Peaty’s girlfriend. She is also the mother of George, Adam’s son. Apart from this she is an artist by profession. She paints quite well. She was born in Wales on January 4th, 1998.
