And… scene: The Oscars come to an end after a chaotic evening.
The 94th Academy Awards concluded with “Coda” and “Dune” taking home the majority of the awards, as well as everything else that won.
‘CODA’ has been named best picture.
The Academy Award for Best Picture goes to Sian Heder’s “CODA,” the story of an aspiring singer torn among her artistic aspirations and her loyalty to her Deaf parents and older brother.
It’s a watershed moment for Deaf portrayal in the entertainment industry, as well as for the streaming service Apple TV+, which distributes the film. Apple is the first streaming platform to take home the best picture award.
Jessica Chastain is named best actress for her performance in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye.’

Billie Eilish wins her first Academy Award for ‘No Time To Die.’
Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell won the Oscar for the best original track with “No Time To Die,” beating out Beyonce and Lin Manuel Miranda in the highly competitive category.
The song was performed earlier in the award show by the sibling duo, and it is the title track of the movie in which it debuted. When they accepted the award, they thanked their team and their parents.
Jane Campion wins the best director for her brooding Western “The Power of the Dog.”
She is the 3rd woman in the 94-year history of the Academy Awards to win the best director, following Kathryn Bigelow (“The Hurt Locker”) and Chloé Zhao (“Nomadland”).
Campion entered tonight’s ceremony as the category’s first woman to be nominated twice. She was previously nominated for “The Piano,” a haunting drama. (That year, Steven Spielberg received the award for “Schindler’s List.”)

‘Cruella’ wins an Oscar for best costume design.
The Oscar for best costume design goes to “Cruella,” a villain origin story set in the world of London high fashion.
Jenny Beavan graciously accepted the award. She previously received Oscar nominations for “A Room With a View” and “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
In the category, “Cruella” beat out “Cyrano,” “Dune,” “Nightmare Alley,” and “West Side Story.”
‘Drive My Car’ has been named the best international feature.
“Drive My Car,” a meditative drama about grief and connection directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi, won the Academy Award for best international feature film.
In his acceptance speech, Hamaguchi switched between Japanese and English to thank his creative collaborators.
Troy Kotsur is named best supporting actor for his work in ‘CODA.’

He is the first Deaf actor to win an Academy Award for acting.

‘The Queen of Basketball’ has been named the best documentary short.
The night’s second award (and the second to be presented off-air) goes to “The Queen of Basketball” for best documentary short subject.
“The Queen of Basketball” is a 22-minute picture of sports legend Lusia Harris, a pioneer of women’s basketball in the United States.
‘Dune’ receives the first award of the evening.
The sci-fi spectacle “Dune” wins best sound, the first award of the night and one of eight categories presented off-air in the hour before the show.
