The day after she was reported missing, her burned-out car was discovered in a secluded section of the Dallas suburb of Frisco.
“While we desperately hoped for a different outcome, I’m grateful for the dogged determination of my deputies and our Texas Rangers in locating Ms. Kelley,” Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner said in the news release.
Kelly found dead:
A week later, duct tape, gloves, and a blanket were discovered in Ferguson’s car by Collin County detectives. After that, he was accused of kidnapping.
On January 19, a new arson charge was filed after detectives in Grand Prairie discovered a women remains in a field close to the intersection of 360 and I-20. Kelly was discovered dumped in a field wrapped in plastic. Less than a mile separates Ferguson’s Grand Prairie home from the field.
According to investigators, he and his wife reside there. A week after Kelley was reported missing, she was found dead.
The remains, which have not yet been identified, were found in Grand Prairie, Texas, on Wednesday night. The body will be identified after additional exams by the medical examiner’s office.
