A guy wanted in Seattle since 2019 for allegedly repeatedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend with a 12-inch butcher knife was apprehended in Mexico and sent there to face charges. Isaias Martinez, 34, was a subject of Washington’s Most Wanted in August 2019.

Why he attacked his girlfriend?

Martinez allegedly attacked his girlfriend on June 14, 2019, in the garage of her apartment building in north Seattle, close to Shoreline, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to reports, he stabbed his lover 17 times throughout her body. She sliced her hands while defending herself, but her stomach sustained the greatest harm. When they came, her intestines, according to the police, were protruding.

“He takes her out of the car, grabs her, and starts stabbing her repeatedly. The assault continues inside the elevator as he drags her inside the building housing the apartments. He frees her from that and pulls her down the corridor before stabbing her several more times.

She comes close to passing out before the unimaginable happens. He turns around, comes back, and kicks her roughly six times in the head “In 2019, Retired Detective Myrle Carner worked with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

What happened to the victim?

“This is among the top five incidents that come to memory as being astonishing in my more than four decades of working as a police officer. He really intended to murder this woman.”

Martinez allegedly then took the victim’s Jetta, which was later discovered, according to police. Before being taken to the hospital in a hurry, the victim managed to escape and recognized Martinez as her assailant. On her wounds, several sutures were required.

Amazingly, the victim lived, and according to authorities, before being taken to the hospital, she recognized him as her attacker. Just 11 days after Martinez was freed from jail for breaking a protective order, he allegedly beat his girlfriend.

Finallythe suspect was captured after 3 years of deep search

He was given a first-degree domestic violence assault charge and an arrest warrant, but he escaped. Martinez was located in Mexico by Seattle Police Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) investigators after three years and numerous search warrants.

Following approval, Mexico issued an arrest warrant, and the US Marshals Service later detained Martinez following his international extradition warrant “SPD clarified.

He was returned to Washington State after being extradited from Mexico. According to SPD, he was incarcerated in King County Jail in late January.

Martinez is being held without bond and has been accused of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree kidnapping, violating no-contact order, and damaging property. He entered a not-guilty plea.
