Triple homicide incident- What happened?

Police were called to the 1500 block of South Evanston Street for a welfare check around 5:15 p.m. Officers arrived and found nothing untoward, therefore there was no need to force entry into the home.

Officers left the house and informed the family that they were unable to force entry. When family members arrived at the house shortly before 7:00 p.m., they walked inside and found three dead adults—two women and one man—there.

They were discovered with possible gunshot wounds and other injuries, and a short while later, they were declared dead.

Why did the police arrest, Christopher Martinez?

Police found three dead bodies (two women and a man) in the residence near the Willow Park Neighborhood. According to an APD representative, the three are related. All three will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office and they conducted an investigation.

Martinez, who is known to the victims, was first contacted on the site last night. Police arrested a northern Colorado man named, Christopher Martinez after a triple murder in Aurora. He is now facing three charges of first-degree murder. The charges will be filed in the 18th Judicial District of Arapahoe County.

Interim APD Police Chief Art Acevedo said, “This senseless violence is inexplicable. “Thanks to the efforts of our dedicated personnel, the suspect has been taken into custody and our community can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Our hearts go out to the family of the victims.”

A search of Arapahoe County court records online reveals no criminal history of Christopher Martinez of that age.
