Who is the suspect wanted by Philadelphia police?

According to the NYPD, the shooter who shot a Philadelphia Parking Authority officer may also be the same person who shot a gas station employee in the Bronx.

Police released the CCTV video of the armed suspect who was involved in the Philadelphia shooting. According to police, the individual seen in the video may have also shot a Sunoco gas station employee in the Bronx.

Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vonore, said, “It’s bold, it’s brazen and it’s something we are going to do everything we can to solve immediately,”

The male suspect may be seen on surveillance video approaching the 37-year-old PPA officer from behind and shooting him in the ear and shoulder.

 

Are the two people the same?

Investigators claim that the individual seen in the video may have also shot a Sunoco gas station worker in the Bronx on November 22 based on information the Philadelphia police got from the NYPD.

A gunshot that took place on November 25, 2022, in the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue may have been related to one that took place on November 22, 2022, in the 2200 block of Boston Road in the Bronx, New York.

Bronx gas station shooting

A Sunoco gas station employee was shot in the head by an unidentified guy. Surveillance footage from both cases indicated a guy with a similar build and dressed similarly.

A suspect shot a Bronx gas station employee in the head on November 22 after he opened an unlocked door to his storefront on Boston Road at 7 p.m. for what he thought was a customer. The 59-year-old victim was taken by ambulance in critical condition to a hospital.

Philadelphia parking shooting

On November 25, 2022, a Philadelphia Parking Authority officer was killed. The horrible incident took place on the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia at about 4 p.m.

A masked suspect armed with a silver handgun approached an on-duty PPA officer from behind and fired one shot into his head before fleeing onto the 1500 block of Gillingham St towards Griscom St.

The person(s) responsible for these shootings are thought to be armed and dangerous. The suspect is described as a slender man between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall. He wore a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, green cargo pants, a black mask, gloves, and black boots.

Police in New York City and Philadelphia are still looking for motives in both shootings.

 

Police statement:

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are requesting the public’s assistance for information in reference to attempted murder. Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect to contact them.

The City of Philadelphia and The Philadelphia Parking Authority each have offered $10,000 for a total of $20,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the male depicted in the photos.

Black male, medium build, blue jacket with hood, blue or black ski mask, grey pants, black boots, black gloves. The suspect was armed with a silver revolver.
