He claimed that nearly the entire Seoul workforce—more than 400 emergency workers—had been dispatched to the streets to provide medical care for the injured.
A death toll was not immediately announced by the authorities. According to police, dozens of people were given CPR on the site, while many of them were taken to the local hospitals.

In a statement, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol urged officials to guarantee that individuals who were hurt received prompt medical attention and to review the festival site’s safety.
