Dougherty was last spotted in Columbus, Ohio, on April 21, when she was planning to board a bus back to Erie, Pennsylvania, to attend her son’s graduation. She didn’t show up when she was supposed to, and nobody knew where she was.

One of her Family Friend Anthony David Adams updated about the incident on Facebook,
“We’ve learned today that my life long friend Tara was found in Columbus and unfortunately had passed away.”
Additionally, he said that since her Facebook account had been hacked a few months ago, its administrators have been posting videos of her and making it appear as though she is still alive.
