Police say they got the report of the stabbing, which occurred in the Kinnaird Street neighbourhood in the city’s north, at at 2.30 a.m. on September 5.
The injured party was transferred to a hospital where he is currently receiving care.

The man was reportedly brought to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
They made an appeal for anyone who could have seen the incident or who might have video that could help with their investigations to get in touch with them.

According to Detective Sergeant McCartan: “We learned that a male had been stabbed many times in the Kinnaird Street neighbourhood around 2.30 am. He was brought to the hospital, where he is being treated for his wounds.
“I kindly ask anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have video that could help with the investigation to call detectives at (101); please refer to reference 152 of 5/09/22.
