One person was killed and at least six others were hurt in a mass shooting Tuesday night in Chicago’s Washington Park, according to authorities.

According to Chicago police, a ShotSpotter warning was raised at around 7:45 o’clock. An inquiry is still in its early stages, but a witness claimed to have heard more than 20 gunshots at that moment.

There were two groups at the park when the shooting occurred, and according to the police, there was a fight that led to a shooting spree.

According to police, seven people were shot overall, with one of them succumbing to their wounds.
