According to the official media tributes, it was revealed that Texas resident Robin Rodriguez passed away following motorcycle accident injuries.
Based on the information that has made its way to the public, Robin Rodriguez was riding his motorcycle home from work when a black Ford allegedly ran a red light, striking Mr. Rodriguez and seriously injuring him. At around 4:45 pm, a motorcyclist got hit by a truck that ran a red light at a high rate of speed.
The impact was so hard that the motorcycle disassembled, and the driver flew on impact and landed several feet from where he was struck. Witnesses state the male motorcyclist was yelling in pain and severely hurt. The driver stopped after hitting the cyclist no word if the driver was charged and or arrested.
Cause of death
After a truck collided with his motorcycle at a crossroads, Robin Rodriguez of Laredo lost his life. He died there, at the moment. Rodriguez was serving as an officer for the Laredo Independent School District. Robin showed he was a fighter all the way through.
Several people were shocked to learn about Robin Rodriguez’s passing, and they are all devastated. Mr. Rodriguez was taken to a nearby hospital in the neighborhood in a hurry, but he tragically passed away from his wounds.

I first met Rod a little over 2 years ago at a Patrol Rifle Course at the Laredo College Police Academy. He knew his stuff, knew every click, sound & movement of his rifle. From there on he would back me up a time or two on traffic stops and became a good buddy. Thankful to have had a friendship with him & be able to share a picture with you during last year’s WBCA Parade.
