South Korean actress Park Soo Ryun, best known for acting in the popular romantic K-drama TV series ‘Snowdrop’ passed away on June 11. She was 29.

Korean entertainment industry mourns the loss of the most talented actress Park Soo Ryun. Soo Ryun’s death is considered too early before she even achieves her career.

What happened to the Snowdrop actress?

Actress Park Soo Ryun from Snowdrop passes away after falling from the stairs unexpectedly at the age of 29. 

On Monday (12/6), Soo Ryun was declared dead after falling down the stairs on her way back to her home. In her final days, Soo Ryun is getting ready for a musical performance.

She will perform on June 13 on Jeju Island, according to the schedule. She also took part in the musicals “Siddhartha” and “The Day We Loved”.

According to a report by OSEN, before her death, it is said that the medical team had tried to save her but the actress suffered brain death and could no longer be recovered. Therefore, Park Soo Ryun cause of death was confirmed as Brain Dead.

Her family has decided to donate her organs. As per Soompi, Park Soo’s mother said,

“Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating.”

The funeral wake has been set up at Suwon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. The funeral procession will be held at 10:30 am on June 13.


Who was Park Soo Ryun?

She was born in 1994, Park made her debut in 2018 through the musical Il Tenore and since then she has worked in numerous shows.

In the Korean drama “Snowdrop,” which ran from December 2021 to January 2022 and starred actor Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Park Soo-ryun played a small part as a college student.

In 2018, she donated to the opera “il tenore.” Along with these, she appeared in “Finding Mr. Destiny,” “The Cellar,” “Othello,” and “Pass By Love,” among other musicals and plays. Her most recent production was “The Life of Siddhartha” in March. Park Soo-ryun posted images from the final day of their “Snowdrop” filming.
