Marlon Wayans’s Statement

While mourning the untimely loss of his friend Kitchie, Marlon Wayans confirmed the passing of his father. He claimed that she entered heaven around the same time as his father in a tribute message to her that he published on his Instagram page.

My friend… the most loyal loving soul. One of the best souls I’ve met in this journey. You loved every more than you even loved yourself. I’m hurting. Shit don’t seem real. God got you. And i know you got me. Thank you for your love, your smiles, your energy, your positivity and your loyalty to all of us who were lucky enough to be loved by you. You was an angel in a human disguise. Howell Wayans Cause of death

Wayans was a manager of a supermarket. He supported his family in New York with his pay. But eventually, he left the labor force and retired. He is an 86-year-old former manager of a grocery, but most people remember him as the father of the Wayans family, a prominent family in American show business. With his wife, Howell welcomed 10 kids. Instilling discipline into them while raising them in New York City.

He made care to provide for his huge family despite having one. Years later, several of his children and grandkids are among the most well-known actors, producers, directors, screenwriters, comedians, and musicians in Hollywood.

Howell Stouten Wayans was born on August 26, 1936, in New York City, New York, in the United States. His parents are Lillian Victoria Howell and Paul Otto (the father) (mother).

Howell’s parents were Jehovah’s Witnesses, but they were also Christians. He thereafter committed his life to becoming a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. Early in the 1950s, Howell met his future wife. They had a happy marriage for almost 70 years. Sadly, Elvira Althia, who would have celebrated her 82nd birthday in July 2020, passed away.

The couple resided in Chelsea in New York City. There are eleven kids from Howell and Elvira. Dwayne is their first-born son. His birthday is July 23, 1956. (age 66 as of 2022). Then, on June 8, 1958, the couple gave birth to Keenen Ivory, their second child (age 64 as of 2022).

We are sorry to announce the demise news of the patriarch of the Wayans family. Howell Wayans took his final breath on March 31, 2023.  Howell Wayans, a native of New York, fell in love with Elvira Alethia Green and got married to her.

Dwyane Wayans, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, Diedre Wayans, Kim Wayans, Elvira Wayans, Nadia Wayans, Vonnie Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans were born to them together.

Howell, a supermarket supervisor, and Elvira, a social worker, and homemaker, brought up their kids in the New York City neighborhood of Chelsea with rules and affection. Marlon Wayans always refers to his father as his “hero.”

While celebrating his son Shawn Howell Wayans’ 18th birthday he wrote via Instagram, “18 years ago today God blesses me with a son. I named him after 2 of my life heroes (Shawn and my dad Howell) and he has been a beautiful happy blessing in my life.” Howell Wayans is predeceased by his wife, Elvira, who transitioned to her heavenly home in July 2020.
