The star debuted on the legendary programme in 1993’s second season and played a vital role in the show until its end.

In a post on social media, Bernadette’s sister’s partner, Rick Jango, announced her passing and paid tribute to one of “the loveliest people” they had ever met.

The obituary stated: “It is with great sorrow that I have to tell you of death of the Bernadette Hunt, the younger sister of my partner.

Most people will remember her as ‘Falcon’ From the hit T.V Show ‘Gladiators.

I had the privilege to be in her company a few times & I have to say she was one of the most lovliest people I have ever met

She never had a bad word to say about anyone, indeed she was always known as the nicest ‘Gladiator’ always stopping to speak & sign autographs for anyone

She had been battling cancer for a number of years until sadly she lost the fight. R.I.P. Bernie”

Bernadette worked as a personal trainer in Basingstoke after quitting Gladiators.

Bernadette Hunt was born on 6 November 1963 in Brighton, United Kingdom. Falcon, the mullet-topped gladiator joined the ensemble in Series 2 and quickly became a fan favorite with her pointy hair.

At the age of 18, Bernadette was admitted into the London Contemporary Ballet School, but a back injury forced her to abandon her plans.

Falcon was a strong all-arounder on the programme and could handle any challenge that was thrown at her; however, she was difficult to beat.

Falcon participated in events like Joust, Powerball, and Tilt during her time on the programme. In addition to appearing on the main program, Bernadette also participated in three live performances, two seasons of International Gladiators as Falcon, and The Ashes 2 as a reserve.

After Gladiators came to an end, Bernadette decided she wanted a quieter existence and began working as a fitness trainer at the Basingstoke Sports Centre.
