Bernadette Hunt, better known as the Gladiator legend Falcon, passed away at the age of 59. Let’s see how did Hunt die and her cause of death in detail.
How did Bernadette Hunt die?
Bernadette Hunt aka Falcon, one of the famous stars of the Gladiators show, has died at the age of 59.
The star debuted on the legendary programme in 1993’s second season and played a vital role in the show until its end.
In a post on social media, Bernadette’s sister’s partner, Rick Jango, announced her passing and paid tribute to one of “the loveliest people” they had ever met.
The obituary stated: “It is with great sorrow that I have to tell you of death of the Bernadette Hunt, the younger sister of my partner.
Most people will remember her as ‘Falcon’ From the hit T.V Show ‘Gladiators.
I had the privilege to be in her company a few times & I have to say she was one of the most lovliest people I have ever met
She never had a bad word to say about anyone, indeed she was always known as the nicest ‘Gladiator’ always stopping to speak & sign autographs for anyone
She had been battling cancer for a number of years until sadly she lost the fight. R.I.P. Bernie”
Bernadette worked as a personal trainer in Basingstoke after quitting Gladiators.
Who was Gladiator legend Falcon?
Bernadette Hunt was born on 6 November 1963 in Brighton, United Kingdom. Falcon, the mullet-topped gladiator joined the ensemble in Series 2 and quickly became a fan favorite with her pointy hair.
At the age of 18, Bernadette was admitted into the London Contemporary Ballet School, but a back injury forced her to abandon her plans.
She went on to win her first championship, Miss Natural Health in 1992, as well as other titles such as Miss Novice Britain, Miss London and Home Countries 1992, and Miss South Britain.
Falcon was a strong all-arounder on the programme and could handle any challenge that was thrown at her; however, she was difficult to beat.
Falcon participated in events like Joust, Powerball, and Tilt during her time on the programme. In addition to appearing on the main program, Bernadette also participated in three live performances, two seasons of International Gladiators as Falcon, and The Ashes 2 as a reserve.
After Gladiators came to an end, Bernadette decided she wanted a quieter existence and began working as a fitness trainer at the Basingstoke Sports Centre.
The ITV star, the actual name Bernadette Hunt, had been diagnosed with cancer and passed away. She began appearing in the second season of the show in 1993 and continued until the original iteration was canceled.
Bernadette previously told the Basingstoke Gazette about life after Gladiators: “I’m very happy with the work I do now and am always busy.” My time is spent as a personal trainer and with my children Adam, 23, and Angel, 4.’
Bernadette Hunt cause of death:
Bernadette Hunt passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 59. With her sister, Carol wrote: “My beautiful sister was the best kind of human being on this earth,” the tributes for the legendary star of the television programme started to pour in.
Her co-star Suzanne Cox, also known as Vogue, expressed her sympathy online as well, writing: “I found out a few days ago” with a crying emoji.
She was described by a fan as “a popular, all-round Gladiator who turned her hand to any event on the show. Her mixture of power and skill made her a very difficult opponent for anyone. Always gracious win or lose.”
The funeral would be private and for family members only, they stated in a comment in response to a tribute. After leaving the Gladiator program, Bernadette had a career as a personal trainer.
