Stuart Anstis Cause of Death

Dani Filth, the band’s founder, said the following on Facebook: “I have learned of the demise of my former guitarist Stuart Anstis at the age of 48 with a terribly grieved heart.

“Stuart was an incredibly skilled guitarist who added a genuine feeling of magick to everything he wrote in Cradle Of Filth, despite our final conflicts.

He and I were best friends for a very long time while we were both living in a tiny village here in Suffolk, and even though our friendship eventually deteriorated, it did not lessen the fan’s respect of his artistic prowess and talent up to the present.

“Vempire, ‘Dusk… and Her Embrace,’ ‘Cruelty And The Beast,’ and ‘From the Cradle To Enslave’ would have been entirely different beasts if not for the depth of his smart and wonderfully dark musicianship. Stuart played all the guitars on this album.

“We (and the genre of extreme music in general) sincerely said Stuart farewell with a terrible feeling of loss. May gloomy raven flights carry you to your grave, sweetheart.

Medico topics have been trying to reach out to the family and relatives for comment on the incident. So far no responses have been received. We will update the page once enough information is available. More information on Stuart Anstis cause of death will be added soon.

Who is Stuart Anstis?

“Stuart was an extraordinarily gifted guitarist who gave a real sense of magic to everything he wrote in Cradle Of Filth, despite our final conflicts.”

English extreme metal group Cradle of Filth was founded in Suffolk in 1991.

Black metal served as the foundation for the band’s distinctive musical style, which later developed into a more polished sound that combined gothic metal, symphonic metal, and other genres.

Currently, the group consists of keyboardist Zoe Marie Federoff, guitarists Marek ‘Ashok’ merda and Donny Burbage, bassist Daniel Firth, drummer Martin ‘Marthus’ karoupka, and lead singer Dani.

Stuart Anstis Career

In 1995, a year after the publication of Cradle of Filth’s debut record, The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, and following the exits of guitarists Paul Ryan and Paul Allender (the latter of whom returned from 2000 to 2014), he first joined the gothic black metal band.

Despite only being a member of the band from 1995 to 1999, Anstis had a big impact on the group, especially on the hugely successful Cruelty and the Beast album, which helped to further define the Cradle of Filth sound and gave birth to the timeless classic song “Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids.”

Anstis only contributed to two of the gothic-metal band’s entire albums, “Dusk and Her Embrace” in 1996 and “Cruelty and the Beast” in 1997, but both are regarded as some of the best and most significant works by the group. He quit the band in 1999 along with two other members, and then formed Bastardsun with former Metal Church singer David Wayne, who passed away unexpectedly in 2005. Ninepence was the most recent group Anstis was a part of.

  1. So shocked and sad to hear of Stuart’s passing. I designed Cradle of Filth’s original T Shirt…black obviously and white, think it was serpent orientated but it was a long time ago……….
