Police career of Joe Simmons

Officer Simmons began his career in law enforcement in 1987 when he joined the Redding Police Department. He worked there up until 2010 when he decided to leave the police service earlier than he had anticipated.

He held positions as a Field Training Officer, an Investigator, and a Motor Officer throughout his career; however, he found that the Motor Officer post was the one he enjoyed the most and decided to focus his efforts there.

Joe was the first field training officer I had the chance to work with after beginning my employment with the firm in 1994, according to Chief Bill Schueller.

This happened not long after I started working there. After a considerable period had gone by, he ended up being the one who taught me how to drive a car.

Joe made a name for himself as an outstanding officer throughout his whole tenure with the police force. In addition, he was responsible for overseeing the training of several officers and motor cops. He was also responsible for training a range of different investigators that worked under him.

The only surviving members of Joe’s family are his wife Annie, his daughters Sara and Dakota, and his two grandsons; they are the only ones who will live on when Joe passes away.
