“Jeremy led a lavish life. He lacked the skills to handle little. He had a big heart, laughed aloud, and was able to mix heart and soul with mayhem and mischief. With him on the radio, the city was lighter and brighter. He had a daily impact on lives. He was raising new hell when he wasn’t raising millions for charity.
“Jeremy has a big, sensitive heart hidden beneath his wicked appearance. Many others heard and saw that on the radio, but he saved his vulnerability for a small group of people.
He drove the road to that destination at 1,000 mph without a rearview mirror, the rest of us clutching on for dear life because he was adamant that the world would be a brighter, shinier, and funnier place. “He will be missed. The family is distraught and requests privacy at this time.
Jeremy Illness Explained
Mansfield previously battled leukemia before receiving a liver cancer diagnosis in January. He was promptly started on treatment after the diagnosis of stage 4 cancer by the doctors.

Mansfield’s shows on Radio 702, Highveld Stereo, and Hot 91.9 won the hearts and ears of Mzansi. In South African radio, his Highveld Stereo breakfast program, The Rude Awakening, garnered him cult-like fame. He additionally hosted A Word or 2 on SABC2, Front Row on M-Net, and Supersport.
He co-authored the best-selling cookbook Zhoozsh and the book Vrot Jokes with his ex-wife, Jacqui. Before his passing, he was hosting his Mansfield2day show on YouTube after leaving Hot 91.9 in February 2021.

Jeremy Mansfield: Radio Legend
A radio and television personality from South Africa is named Jeremy Mansfield. He worked as a presenter and voice actor on several radio stations, as well as presenting several television programs and inserts for well-known television magazine programs.

Mansfield relocated to 94.7 Highveld Stereo, a sister station of 702 Talk Radio, in 1997. There, he co-hosted the weekday morning program The Rude Awakening with Harry Sideropoulos, Sam Cowan, Paul Rotherham, and Whackhead Simpson.
Mansfield announced his departure from the program in June 2010. He hosted his final program on July 12th, 2010.
In November 2018, Jeremy Mansfield made a comeback to radio as the anchor of the “Mansfield in the Morning” breakfast program on Johannesburg’s award-winning community radio station, Hot 91.9fm. His show won Best Breakfast Show, and Best Content Production, and Mansfield took home Best Breakfast Show Presenter at the 2019 Liberty Radio Awards on April 13 in Sandton.
He launched a YouTube account in July 2021. Mansfield broadcasts daily vodcasts on the channel, which also features co-presenters who are authorities in the business, gardening, law, medical, and fun.
