How did Henry C. Potter die?
On Wednesday afternoon, a 64-year-old man was discovered floating in the water off a beach in Monmouth County.
His name was withheld until his family had been informed.
On their Facebook page, the proprietors of Highlands’ In the Garden Florist posted an homage to Potter.

Highland Man Cause of Death
Beachgoers in the 200 block of Ocean Avenue, off North Beach, saw the man, Henry Potter of Highlands, in the water, according to Mayor Brian Kelly’s statement to New Jersey 101.5. He was pulled out of the water by emergency personnel, who also performed CPR.
At the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, Potter was declared dead after being transported there. According to Kelly, the cause of death has not yet been established. Police in Sea Bright was still looking.

Henry C. Potter, 64, of Highlands has been recognized as the guy who was discovered unconscious in the surf yesterday off Sea Bright.
He was found on Wednesday afternoon just before 4 p.m. and was later declared dead there.
