How did DJ Lastborn die?

The famous DJ Lastborn aka Benson Ogweno Ouma passed away in his sleep on Friday, March 3, 2023, at the age of 43, according to his sister Lillian Anyango.

She described how they had a pleasant conversation on Thursday night and that the seasoned DJ was in a good mood before he asked to go to bed.

“I was with him on Thursday, and we talked about so many things. He seemed so energetic, and after having dinner, he requested that we take him to bed.

“Ever since he suffered a stroke in 2017, I have been taking care of him, and there has been tremendous improvement,” she said.

Ian, Lillian’s son, went to check on Lastborn early on Friday morning and thought that he was asleep, so he went to a local shop to buy things.

A few minutes later, his caretaker entered the room and noticed that the DJ had remained in the same spot from the previous night.

She promptly called Lillian, who dialed an ambulance. He was then declared dead.

Who was DJ Lastborn?

Benson Ouma, also known as Lastborn and a well-known veteran DJ who has passed away.
He was a founding member of Supremacy Sounds, and gained popularity with the reggae-heavy Missile mixtapes.
DJ Lastborn and Simple Simon created a new sound and began jamming sessions. Then followed the Missile mixtapes, which also included DJ Last born.
He began performing abroad and succeeded in the reggae industry.

DJ Lastborn cause of death was a stroke. He died in his sleep on Friday. His sister Lillian said, “It is painful to lose my brother, but I believe it was God’s will.” Let him rest. He will no longer be in pain. His time had come”

After experiencing two strokes, DJ Lastborn has been ill for a while. His speech and vision were impacted by the second stroke, which he experienced in 2019.

Obituary:

DJ Last born’s corpse was sent to the Jocham Funeral Home in Mombasa. Friends and followers of DJ shared a heartfelt condolences to him.

DJ Simple Simon of the Supremacy Sounds mourned the loss of his countryman and added, “Rest in peace, DJ Last Born. My friend, my teacher, and my musical partner. I was lucky enough to meet you shortly after high school at Hollywood club and our connection through music was instant.”

Added that, “You taught me how to DJ and together we created Supremacy Sounds. Your impact on my life and our shared passion will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered as a true talent and a dear friend. RIP, my friend.”
