El Reno Public Schools’ statement reads,
“ERPS would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Daniel Maifield. Daniel, a 7th grader at Etta Dale, passed away on Wednesday. Common sentiments from the many staff members that he encountered through the years included his sweet smile. How he made them laugh, and mostly that they will miss his hugs. He made an impact on our staff and students and will be greatly missed.”

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. through Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
