How did Emmet Mo die?

Emmet, Tattooer at Orangutan Studio passed away on March 29, 2023. The sudden death of a talented Tattooist made his close friends and family in grief.

Stella Hoshiko shared a statement on their Facebook page and it reads,

“We’d thought u’d make it thru the night..but u’d left for a better place instead. All about u will be missed, by all of us who know u..rest in peace now, Emmet Mo”

This sad news was announced by MILESIX Tattoo Studio on their Facebook page. The statement reads,

On behalf of everyone at MILESIX Tattoo Studio, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Emmet Mo and his family during this difficult time. Emmet will be greatly missed by many and will remain in our hearts forever! RIP..rest well bro.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him. His Studio members say, Emmet has always brightened the studio with his work and personality and we miss him being in the studio with us.

Who was Emmet Mo?

Emmet was a talented tattoo artist from Keningau, Sabah, Malaysia. He was the owner of a Tattoo shop named, Orangutan Studio.

The Orangutan Tattoo Studio is located at the Pusat KK region of Kota Kinabalu. In his studio, he follows Machine-free Handtapping Traditional Tattoo and Electric Tattooing techniques.

Orangutan Studio made an update about Emmet health on February 11 on their Facebook post, saying,

“With a heavy heart, our fellow colleague/ good friend has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer.”

The studio also organized a Flash day event to support Emmet to fight his cancer. They also collected funds to support his medical expenses.

Emmet underwent several treatments and chemo sessions. His friends and family supported him throughout his battle with cancer. Unfortunately, it was reported the talented artist passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Emmet Mo passed away after a battle with Colon cancer on March 29, 2023. Condolences flooded social media after the demise news of the young Tattoo artist broke out.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family members. He was survived by his beloved wife Brenda Ivy Vyonna Tangyun and his Children.

Emmet was remembered as a very friendly and kind person by his friends. The Sarawak tattoo community will miss him deeply.
